INTERNET OF ENERGY
September 29 @ 9:30 am
Internet of Energy, efficiency and sustainability in the energy industry
IoT technology applied to distributed energy systems aims to optimize efficiency in the generation, transmission and use of electricity and gas. Sensor networks have numerous smart applications, such as power monitoring and management, distributed storage and the integration of renewable energy.
PROGRAM
Chairperson: Vittorio Cossarini, President, AssoESCo – Energy Service Company Association
? 9:30 am Introductory speech
Vittorio Cossarini, President, AssoESCo
? 9:45 PRY-CAM, for data-driven power
Roberto Candela, CEO, Prysmian Electronics
Abstract
Today our actions are increasingly guided by the information obtained from reading the data. The more objective the data, the greater the impact it has on the decisions and actions taken to follow. It has only recently been realized that electricity is also readable through data and that reading such data is essential for accurate and objective diagnoses of any electrical system.
Since 2006 Prysmian Group has developed, PRY-CAM, a technology that allows the collection of all this data, which is based on artificial intelligence algorithms and on sensing technologies patented by the Group and which makes use of a portfolio of products and services designed , developed, produced and sold by the Group itself, integrated with its own cable systems.
? 10:00 am IoT technologies and business models in distributed electrical systems
Antonio Nodari, Head of Energy Central & South Region, AFRY Management Consulting
Abstract
The energy transition is changing the fundamentals of the energy market, towards systems increasingly equipped with non-programmable renewable generation and often distributed on medium and low voltage networks. This increases the flexibility required by the system to be managed safely and the necessary interactions between consumption, generation and management of the networks. Digital and the ability to interact between different hardware and software play an essential role and open up new business models “in front” and “behind the meter”.
? 10:15 am Energy management projects: value and benefits for the industrial world and considerations on environmental impacts
Salvatore De Caro, Intelligent Technology Presales Expert, SAP Italia
Giorgio Marti, Excutive Advisor, SAP
Pierpaolo Russo, Managing Director, Ennova Industries
? 10:35 am Closing remarks – end of session
